Rita Ora MTV Diary (Part 1)

Rita Ora Closes DKNY Spring 2014 NYFW Show Full Of Logos And Throwbacks

Rita Ora
Happy 25th birthday, DKNY! Now you can rent an SUV on your own! With the advent of 2014 (by way of this Spring/Summer-showing New York Fashion Week), Donna Karan's youth-oriented diffusion line embarks on its 25th year of existence since its launch in 1989. Accordingly, the major anniversary show employed its own major surprise: a closing runway walk from forthcoming campaign face and all-around cutie patootie pop star Rita Ora. Sure, celebs sit front row for shows all the time (*achem* was anyone else FLIPPING out about seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis??), and sure, we already knew that Rita and DK were linked, but does that mean we expected this kind of catwalk cameo? Certainly not.

A string of big name models showcased Karan's nostalgic celebratory collection, strutting their stuff in hallmark trends of the label's initial heyday: overalls (haaaaay, Joan Smalls!), denim, patches, and paisley bandana print. And hearkening back to the debut DKNY collection, there were sweeping trenches, billowy muted neutrals, and staple tailored pieces.

In another throw back to the pervasive trends of the late '80s through the '90s, this 25th anniversary collection was drenched with big, bold logos, from massive "DKNY" printed dresses to two-piece sweatsuits, from rain jacket linings to patterned skirts. The collection alone was exciting enough, seemingly ending with Karlie Kloss in a gorgeous, minimalist, floor-length, coral red column dress. And then, Rita came in and blew the roof off the place. Congrats, DKNY!

Check out her hair! Rita Ora eclipses Cara Delevingne with pop-punk hairstyle, tartan outfit and lace veil as Paris Fashion Week draws to close

Intricate: Rita had wound her hair up for the LFW closing party, creating a stunning up-do
She has stood out at Paris Fashion Week with her quirky sense of style.
And the Mademoiselle C film cocktail party at Pavillon Ledoyen on Tuesday was no exception for Rita Ora as she made sure all eyes were on her in a lace veil and statement hairstyle.
The 22-year-old star cut a striking silhouette with her blonde hair twisted up into an intricate up-do.

The style created four top-knots on the star’s head, with a stunning effect from the front and sides.
Rita added a sultry black lace veil topped with a bow, in addition to a silver choker and bracelet.

Keeping the rest of her look simple, the star added a crisp white shirt buttoned up to the neck, which she later unfastened to reveal a flash of her black lacy bra.
The singer also wore a pair of tight leather trousers and pointed-toe heels to bring extra sexiness to her outfit.
The party was dedicated to the film documentary Mademoiselle C by director Fabien Constant, which offers a glimpse into the life of CR Fashion Book founder Carine Roitfeld.
Night out: The best friends looked like they wanted to make the party memorable

Cara Delevingne, 20, was also present at the screening, but seemed happy to let Rita steal the show, wearing an all-black outfit.
The model looked elegant in a low-cut black top teamed with skin-tight trousers and pointed black shoes.
She wore her long blonde locks flowing and styled in loose waves, while she also added a dark purple lipstick for a grungy look.
The once inseparable friends are believed to be back on track after a fall-out at Glastonbury when Rita thought Cara had deliberately ignored her and started shouting, ‘Sort yourself out, you’re a mess.’

If the caliber of a pop diva is measured by the delay in arriving at a date, then Rita Ora and their two hours waiting score high, but go ahead the excuse that just returned from “a grueling» trip to Dubai. There is no trace of makeup on her face and that makes it even more obvious signs of tiredness after sunglasses. But their delicate wrists covered with bracelets of gold Cartier easily distracted gaze.
Rita pronounces his name as “Ria”. It unfolds naturally, piropeando the photographer. Between shots tells us that the goddess Aphrodite was tattooed on his arm to cover another tattoo, a heart that looked like “a prune.”
The session has accompanied his sister Elena, who serves as manager, and his mother Vera. Inseparable. Today he works in British public health. “We are a very close family because we moved here without relatives’ tells Vera. “Rita keeps calling me to inquire decisions. She knows that I will tell the truth. If you spent with makeup, I say. I’ll be honest though not like. ” Her mother is also enlightening to S Moda to come from another country is an advantage for Rita: “That has opened his world view. She understands that the entertainment industry is a very particular field. That’s why I insist that I have to be responsible about their fans, especially smaller ones, to idolize. ”
Rita said, while testing one of the outfits that her mother has an account on Instagram. And as good matriarch watches daughter through social media: “It is the best way to know where it is and what it does,” admits Vera.
This introduction (and control) is good at drawing maternal universe surrounding the pop star. The singer of 22 years has had to get used to fame in a rush. To act in the circuit of pubs Brits went to sign for Roc Nation, Jay Z seal, and alternate with Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rihanna. Their debut album, entitled Ora , went straight to the top of the British charts.
In these times of vertigo what is surprising is not his sudden success. What is truly astounding in the path of this artist is the skill with which he plays his role. It has not gone through that awkward state between chrysalis and butterfly, has not shown hesitation or outbursts. Katy Perry was a blonde Christian rock singer, Taylor Swift dressed as the eternal high school prom queen, and Lady Gaga, in her first singles, apprentice looked as eccentric. But Rita Ora, from the first moment I stepped in front of a camera, always had star looks.
